Who are we?
We are a team of proud Malaysians that have been in the apparel industry since 1998. Through the years, we are focusing on producing premium quality custom designed sportswear for the government agencies, schools and associations.
In the beginning of 2018, we decided to bring our experience into building our own brand, Moonbear. Our mission is to provide sportswear at a fair and affordable price with premium quality, targeting at all ages from young and pretty teenagers to middle age uncle and aunty.
We strongly believe that our mission can be achieved by streamlining the production to sales process and selling online.
20 years in the apparel industry have equipped us with a unique understanding on how the apparel industry works, from material procurement, production, to sales and marketing.
We know that the cost of producing a piece of apparel is only accounted to a fraction of the retail price. The reason why premium sportswear is so expensive it is because there are many parties involved in the production to sales process, for example, design firm, manufacturers, importers, distributors, retailers and etc. Each party is contributing to the final retail price and all of that is bear by the consumers.
Eliminating middleman has proven to effectively reduce the production cost without compromising on the quality. The unique business model also allows us to connect with our customers in a more direct approach where they can give constant feedback and help us to push forward and grow.
Furthermore, we do most of the design and production in-house to less rely on outsourcing. This helps us to have a tighter quality control and better costing control.
In the end, what we trying to achieve is to make premium quality sportswear available to everyone and to build meaningful relationship with our customers.
